Hi All,
Had hard time falling a sleep , so here I am introducing myself at 2:30 am.Have owned my little CBX550F for about 28 years. Yeah that's longer then the internet has been around!
" Honey" has been the most reliable machine I have ever owned, she has gone anywhere I have asked her to go and more importantly back home.
Sad part and reason to join the forum , my last ride I am pretty sure I have a spun a rod bearing. So to the point need to find a good crank and bearings.
Pains me to even think about selling her for parts, one reason is my father and I made her exhaust pipes. They are made out of 4"stainless steel piping,60,000 plus kms and no holes.
Will post pictures when I fire up the desk top comp. as my tablet doesn't have any on it yet.
Oh yeah boring stuff , me 55 ,live at an Airpark as the caretaker and was in previous life a transmission rebuilder, and have five bikes in various stages of being. Cheers Gerard

Re: first posting on CBX forum

She sounds like a keeper! Good old Honda reliability for sure.
This forum is mostly dedicated to the CBX1000 but we love all bikes, I'm sure someone will be along to suggest a solution.

Re: first posting on CBX forum
Welcome Gerard:
Unfortunately this here is not he best place to seek help with a CBX550. Although named "CBX" forum, it was named for the CBX 1000 1979-1982.
In addition, the CBX550 was not offered in all countries, so there is limited knowledge/resources.
Some of our members still may be able to point you into the right direction. Let's see.
