rubber inserts in the cylinder head
I purchased cbx project bike about a week ago, it came with lot of extra parts including two spare motors, one has rubber inserts (cubes) between the fins, right next to the spark plugs, does anybody knows what these inserts are for

Re: rubber inserts in the cylinder head
Don't book on my reply, Mike. However, I believe they are anti-noise devices. Other bikes do a similar thing with the 'rubber' blocks between some fins.

I think only the '79s had those - other years didn't. And many 79's I've seen don't have them either.

They were part-no 12295-422-000, only listed for the 1979 (CBX-Z) 10 of them total.
