1979 Side Cover Paint Code

I'm in the process of repairing and refinishing my side covers. Anyone have a paint code number I could cross to a Ditzler product for the satin or semi-flat black used on the covers. Thanks.

Ed -- You probably already know this, but you can't get paint codes from Honda for vehicles made before 1981. Further, even the codes for later vehicles aren't usable by painters. Just as in cars, the painter must custom-mix each time. For more information, go here

I went through a body shop that mixes PPG paints. They were able to take the Honda paint code I got off the site here and call PPG and get a mix formula. That was for Perusus silver but if you can find a paint code for the black side cover I don't know why they couldn't do that also. I have also seen autobody paint distributers that had scaners that could create a formula. Good luck, Dave
