I recently installed a SACHSE electronic ignition system on my 79 CBX. After installing I have no spark. I checked instructions and the unit is installed correctly - power to the unit is good and earth is good. There is power to the coils, coils, leads and spark plug caps are are tested and within spec. i am interested to hear if anyone has any suggestions?

been thinking about this system for mine. would be very interested to hear your feedback when you get it going. I think the system switches off to prevent overheating after 3s of inactivity. Could this be part of your issue?

Thats a great point however I have tried switching off the ingintion and then turn to to the "on" position to reset the time-out feature but still there is no spark. I have also tried to contact SACHSE for suggestions but I have not received any response to my e-mails (troubling since they responded within 24hours to process my order).

can only suggest 2 other things if you are sure its connected up correctly.

apparently the system needs at least +7V rail to operate. Starter motor could drag the voltage too low? Check at the new ignition box.

Have you tried the test mode? Gives continuous sparking condition for test.

I was wrong btw this system uses a Hall effect trigger. Volker Sachse is reputedly very approachable so should help you sort.
