Exhaust System

Hie eveybody, I am a CBX owner of 1982 Prolink. I 'am from Quebec Canada.
I am searching for a solution for my exhasut system. After a lot of research, i have not find a solution affordable for my CBX.


There some reproduction 6 in 2 but very expansive around 2000$ shipping and taxes included.
I Know there are slip-on from supertrapp. But i want to find some slip on that fit the original headers and i dont want to rejet the carburator.
There are some good looking megaphone from supertrapp with adjustable disc but i dont know which one to choose.
If anaybody have some experience with that, i will be please if they want to share it with me.

Welcome to the site, Jacques.
I am not aware of any slip-on mufflers from SuperTrapp or anybody else that are direct bolt-ons.
Jardine used to make a turn-out muffler but they are rarely seen for sale anymore.
If it is just a matter of getting it on the road they still sell Mac exhausts for less than $500.00. They are not great systems but you can't beat the price and they do not require rejetting.

I am not sure what your budget is, but you should be able to get a good used original Prolink 6-2 for around $800.-. They would not be perfect but very acceptable for a rider.

I have only seem them in a turnout muffler configuration.

Yes i found a Kerker 6-2 exhaust system on ebay but i come from texas, i will try to get them and place a bid when the seller send me the shipping cost.
They look more like the original in dimension but the seller say they are made for a 1979-1980 CBX. Do you think they can be used on a 1982 Prolink without rejetting.
