Hello!

Post by Mixtbag »

Greeting fellow CBXers! Very glad to have access to this wide world of your collective knowledge and comradery! I recently purchased my 2nd CBX. Sold my first pristine silver '79 about 8 years ago prior to a cross-country move with a motorcycle hating wife... (now EX wife.) Life is good now, and I've been on the hunt for about a year for a new CBX to decorate the garage. Ended up getting what I think was a great deal on a B model that has been Frankensteined into something that kind of looks like a Z with a silver '79 tank, tail cowl and black (glossy) side covers. I always loved the look of the Z and B models but favored the technology updates of the B's and C's. I feel like I have the best of both worlds with this bike! And because it's not as "perfect" as my original '79, I'm not as particular about every inch of the thing. It's also been upgraded with braided steel brake lines, a Works Ultrasport adjustable rear shock and a DG 6-into-1 exhaust. This being my first non-stock CBX, I am not entirely familiar with these add-ons, but I've been told they are pretty good quality additions. I look forward to chatting with some of you and picking your brains as I figure out what else I may want to do with my new baby!

Cheers!

You're in a good neighborhood. There are a lot of CBXperts in California. Many of them are here, and they also hang out at CBXWorld. Ask questions in either place, and you will surely find the answers you are looking for.
