This is what I've fabbed for the centerstand stop so it won't ride up and hit the chain.

Why does it hit the chain in the first place?

The absence of the left side OEM muffler that has a center stand (stop) built in to it.

Terry,
I'd also fabricate an additional bracket or tab to prevent your "stopper" from moving forward or backwards because of vibration etc.. If it did you'd almost saw the center stand in half by it bumping gently against the chain during running and hardly even hear the "buzz saw" action happening. I know as this is what appened to me and an 1100F chain/center stand while on a 200 mile ride one day.

Just an extra precaution you might want to consider.

Best to you,
Ricardo

Thanks Ricardo, I'd thought of that as well and tightened the hell out of that bolt until I add a stop to it. I just went to a hardware store and found a piece of hardened steel to put in place. During rides since, I've checked it over and over and so far it hasn't come loose.
