valve cover side screws won't budge

valve cover side screws won't budge
I am trying to take the valve cover off of my 80 x and I can't get the side screws out.. I tryed a impact and did nothing but broke tips off. A screwdriver dosen't even budge it and I am starting to round the screws out. Anybody else have this same issue? thanks

Mine were tough gett'n out . . . . I put some heat to them, then used the impact !
