Anyone looking for a 1982 CBX? Selling mine, located in northern Colorado. Clear title, lots of extras, an honest 26,982 miles. Asking $11,000.
I bought this about 6 years ago as a good running bike needing some love and have since enjoyed excellent time riding in the mountains and garage therapy with improvements.
• Carburetors rebuilt by Mike Nixon.
• Battery, battery cables, rewired for modern main fuse and added plug for tender.
• Throttle and clutch cables.
• Starter motor.
• Dyna coils and plug wires, new plugs.
• Wheel and steering bearings.
• Rifle fairing and windscreen.
• Hagon monoshock.
• Front calipers rebuilt, replaced pads and brake lines.
• Shinko tires.
New 3 coat Pearl Altair White from Colorite. Turns out I suck at painting. Not a great job, will not show well at Concours d’Elegance. Also, gas tank got a splash of brake fluid from a nearby project, bubbles and defects as shown. But super bright and cool, shows great at Bike Night. All body panels are solid!
Needs nothing. Starts instantly, idles smoothly, pulls like it should. Never seen ethanol since I’ve owned it. Fluids are all fresh, valves adjusted. OEM exhaust is really nice, one small rust area on left collector – see pictures and can send more if needed. Includes toolkit, shop manual, other ephemera. Crate of most all takeoffs if you want them, includes old windscreen, shock, and extra seat.
Finally, I bought a 6-6 exhaust from Pipemasters but never ran them. Happy to throw them in with the sale for additional money, let’s make a deal. Will sell separately but only after the bike is sold.
