Need help finding some bikes!

Road tripping across the country with 16 ft Penske with Ian Foster. He is expanding his little bike museum and needs some specific makes and models, he will be entering the country through Florida and heading West to LA. I’ll be hooking up with him most likely in Alabama and stop by Barber then West to LA, I’ll know the route and states we will be traveling through in a couple days.

He is looking for the following;
1979 CB750 the 10th anniversary model
1980 CX500 in red
1982-85 Suzuki GS550M or GS650 Katana
Honda 1978/79 XL125S, XL185S Red with the thick yellow and white stripes on the tank
Honda 1965 CB72 250cc or a CB77 305cc
Yamaha 1975 RD350B

Will also consider 60’s-mid 80’s Japanese bikes

The list is growing but I’ll do what I can to take you up on your generous offer! Ian thinks he can do this trip in 7 days, no freaking way as more stops are being added and with the possibility of several more bikes being added to the list, he’s going to need a rocket up his ass to get it done.

Ian has demonstrated a JIS ton of mojo in pretty much anything he focuses on. I like his chances .

Not exactly what Ian is looking for but our local Moto cafe in Tucson has a 77 RD400 on consignment. Asking $6500 but it has been there a while so likely open to reasonable offers.
