New Member Introduction

Hello fellow CBX Owners
I’ve been registered for a while and finally getting around to my introduction. I am a collector of vintage Japanese motorcycles, especially Hondas. I’ve been a Honda aficionado since I got my first car, a 1988 Acura Integra, and when Juan Pablo Montoya won the CART championship in his rookie year driving a Honda powered car for Chip Ganassi. I’m such a Honda fan that I now fly Honda jets for a living and I have even flown for American Honda Motor.
My collection includes Hondas that are as old as myself and my brothers. Even down to the month and year of manufacture. So my 1979 Honda CBX is the oddball, but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to recommission a CBX. My current CBX project was acquired through a trade for a 1978 Yamaha XS650E I owned.
Here are the bikes in my collection:
1976 Honda CB750F manufactured 5/75 (my older brother’s birth month and year)
1978 Honda CB750K manufactured 6/77 (my birth month and year)
1978 Yamaha XS650E manufactured 6/77
1979 Honda CBX1000 manufactured 4/78 (the oddball)
I currently reside in AZ and I’m looking forward to the wealth of info and guidance from the experts.
