Hello Anders, welcome to the forum!

Type (serial numbers) into the search bar, you will find hundreds of posts that will help you understand the vins, normally the vin number and the engine # are within 50 or so from each other.

Anders,

The bike will have been built around May 1978, and is the Z model (also referred to as a '79). Production started in April 1978 and they built around 2-3000 per month.

Hope that helps!

Paul.
