Back on another 82
I’ve been jonesin for awhile as it’s been almost six years since I sold my 79 with nearly 80,000 miles thru six states and about ten years since I sold my 82 with 106,000 miles thru eleven states so I began the hunt. Pro links are excellent touring rigs. Found this beauty with just 33,690 miles on it and rode it home about 230 miles and got 34 mpg running 75-85 almost all the way, all freeways.

Thanks all. It came with chrome backed blinkers but the owner handed me four black backed blinkers as spares, probably the originals.

Re: Back on another 82
Spent the day detailing and servicing the bike. Got everything done from the tank back. Just the front end is left. Found a drive chain that only says Japan on the links and it has a clip style master link. Don’t like em don't trust em. The rear valve stem looks bad so I think I’ll pull the wheel. I’d like a new rivet link chain anyway. I'd like to have angled stems installed as I have on my other bikes. I’ve learned that valve stem holes vary in size though. Anyone know the size of the Prolink’s wheels? I also learned the air filter hadn’t been changed for a very long time. It’s a K&N that was very dirty. The tires are Kenda Challengers, new on the bike but almost two years old. Never had them before, made in Taiwan. Felt ok on the 230 mile ride home. Tomorrow the front of the bike.
