I am bobcats daughter. Do you know him?

Post by Burks.julia »

Bobcat, my dad, isn't in the best shape medically. He's hospitalized. He's asked me to find the people he talks to. Chris in Scotland, are you here? If any of you know bobcat, please contact me.

So sorry to hear this! We have had many conversations here, although I never met your Dad in person. Wishing him and you all the best!

Bob shared many of his old racing and mechanical stories here.
Julia, positive thoughts sent to you and him.

Same as Steve and Dave, I knew Bob from here, and really enjoyed his contributions to our community. I wish you and him and everyone that loves him as much peace and comfort as the moment has to offer.

Bob became a regular poster here after a little persuasion, I’m glad he stuck around and shared his motorcycle background with us. Bob also spent time on www.cb1100f.net and has many friends there, I hope this helps you.

Thinking of Bob and his family,
Jeff

Bob's contribution here has been both entertaining and educational. Often, he wrote articles that were way above my pay grade, but by going back and reading again, I began to understand. What a treat it's been to have him as a part of our community.

I haven't been on the forum much this summer, and I feel sick just seeing this now.

I tried calling the number provided but got a message about a voicemail box that hasn't been set up. I'll keep trying. Meanwhile, has anyone been able to get in touch with Bob?

I talked with Bob a week ago last Saturday. He was still in hospital wishing like hell he could go home. Had a nice conversation mostly about some of his 'old' days and things he had done. AND, hoped, yet, to do. Honestly, he did not sound too very good. But, then, he's still hoping. The number I called was the 214 number. (He wondered how I got it. Might have been pure luck that he had the phone there and turned on to answer it. Try again.)

I was finally able to connect and just got off the phone with Bob. We had a good talk about cam timing, exhaust systems, being in the hospital, electric motorcycles, and some of his reminiscing about his championship 750. Somehow this time we didn't talk about cats.

He said that he really misses being able to read and write here on the board and asked me to say hi to everyone. He's in rough shape, but is super appreciative of hearing from people, so if you know Bob and are up for giving him a call, please keep at it until you can get through. I asked him if there's a particular time of day that's better for reaching him, and it seems like it's kind of luck of the draw.

 :laughing-lettersrofl: It's ALIVE !!!bobcat here and thankful for all the
well wishes and kind thoughts (even though some sound like "in memorium"). My
daughter kind of made it sound like my obituary was being written. Not so fast.

Right now I am overjoyed in just tonight regaining the use of my computer and being
able to participate on the forum again. I have really missed you all !!!!!
The day before being hospitalized, my computer crashed !

I really enjoyed the phone call yesterday Phil ! The timing between nurses and Drs.
was perfect (hard to do here).

JOY ! bobcat :D :D :techie-typing: :D

Bob, it's so good to have you back. There's been a bit of technical void in your absence. I hope you're on the mend.

Thanks for checking in Bob, we were concerned about you. We figured you had a fighting chance because your thoughtful and loving daughter didn’t include any bikes for sale in her post here. LOL

Get better soon and keep up the good fight!

Jeff
