June 1978 - CBX 1000 - paint question….

Hi Everyone - first off great to be on the forum. It’s an amazing resource

I have a question on the tank paint for a very early red CBX

Did the factory ever add a white pinstripe on the top of the tank? Never seen another one with it, but the bike is otherwise totally original and can’t see why they would have added it, due to it being a skilled job to add a pinstripe, and visually it’s not a big feature

Want to make it as original as possible and there is a small scratch on the tank so want to have it painted, but keep original where possible

For context it was owned by a main dealer it’s whole life, so in good condition

The stock tank did not have a white pinstripe anywhere on the tank.
