Hello, my name is Paul and I own a candy apple red 1980 CBX which I purchased new in Walnut Creek California way back in June of 1980. Made a couple of trans-continental trips on the bike (Cali to Florida) in the first few years of ownership and then parked and proceeded to “mod” the bike per my liking … Euro kit, aftermarket aluminum swingarm, ‘82 front end (fork & triple tree), Kerker 6-2 exhaust, K&N Stage 2(or 3?) jet kit, drilled disk brakes, Corbin Gunfighter seat, after market tank and & a german-made CBX full body fairing. Rode the bike for a few more years and then parked it again (for good) in the late ‘80’s. Have now decided to return the vehicle back to a “semi-original” state so have joined the club to rely on the collective wisdom of the forums in “moving forward!” Cheers, Paul in Cincinnati

Welcome to the forum Paul, I am sure you will find lots of help here I know I have.
Your bike sounds fantastic do you have any pictures either now or from the past?
Looking forward to watching your journey, Ken

Welcome aboard, Paul.
Not many original owned bikes around. Two coast to coast trips is impressive.
A photo or three would be great.

Hello Paul. I'm not far from you, perhaps 25 miles? Your bike sounds quite interesting. As mentioned above, pictures are always welcome.
For any mechanical issues, there's a fellow near us named Jim Zemanek that's well versed in CBXs. His shop is on the east side of Cincy, near Lunken Field. He's retired, but still there most days.
If you get over to the west side, I live in Hidden Valley, and my farm shop is at the Kilby road exit of I-275. ph: 513.284.6927

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.
