New owner from New Zealand

Post by Seadoc »

Hi all, I am a very exited new owner of a CBX ‘79 model. I have been looking for a CBX for some time and found a very nice example in Wanaka in NZ’s South Island. I am hoping to have the bike delivered in a few day’s time. I am looking forward to pick the brains of the very knowledgeable members on here and enjoy this lovely bike!

Yep, I was looking at SA prices and saw it was no cheaper than buying here. I am from SA, have lived in NZ for the last 20 years. Cut my teeth on various Yamahas ( FS1 to XS 1100) Hondas and Kawasaki’s!

I visited SA on a guided motorcycle trip in early 2012, and fell in love with so much of it. It breaks my heart to hear people describe the dysfunction and corruption in the government in recent years, and the effects it’s having on society. I do not think I will return, I’ll leave my memories intact as they are. Best wishes to you and your friends and family.

Congratulations are in order for all the countries and the athletes that participated, it was refreshing to see so many young, strong and determined men and women compete at such high levels.

I am new to the forum also and Wow on the for sale price! I have a 82 with
19,400 miles and passed on a 79 3 years ago asking for 4,000. It was running but missing side covers. Good luck with your new ride.
