Any members in Mexico?

Post by MexRR »

Hi all. Just joined the Forum and exploring to join the club. I live in Guadalajara, Mexico and I am wondering if there are any registered members in the country. Just bought my CBX 1982 pro-link, a rare find since those were not commercialized in Mexico; started the restoration process already. So the obvious question, where can I find parts locally?. I started to read all the forum topics and I know I might find the answer somewhere, but I thought on that as an excuse for introduction.

Welcome MEXRR! We did have a member or two in Mexico, not sure of their current status. You will obviously need to go outside Mexico to get parts. Shout here for your needs - someone may have what you need or can certainly steer to where to find them.

Hi ya, Mex. Welcome to the site.
Feel free to post a pic or 5 of your bike. Stock or custom, ready to go or in repair mode, we like to see them.
As Dave mentioned there are a couple site members that deal in new and used parts so start a thread in the For Sale/Wanted section.

Thank you Dave. So far I could find the entire set of engine gaskets in e-bay from a Taiwanese source. As I make progress I will definitively need solo more stuff. I will definitively shout for help. Thanks again.

Hi Steve.
Thanks for your note. Do you happen to know the names of the members that deal with new/used parts you mentioned? Pics are definitively next step to post.

Louis can be reached at https://www.usedcbxparts.com/
Site member Tevan is a good source for parts as well.
Post up what you are looking for, a lot of people have accumulated parts over the years.

What Steve said - Louis and Terry Schmitt (Tevan) are both excellent, but many guys have many parts that aren't advertised, but they will help out another community member. Ask and you shall receive!
