Hi Guys, maybe somebody from the forum can help me. I found it an ‘82 with 44k miles, according to the owner, he bought the bike from a gentleman in Clearwater, FL
He is asking $7500, I want to know if this is a reasonable price for this bike. The bike runs fine, at idle at least. What I have to look? I never owned a CBX!
The bike is not pristine, but reasonable original
Thanks!!

My personal opinion is that is too much for a 82.

Price does seem high, unless it's an exceptionally good one. If that's Brian's bike, it is indeed good. Can't remember Brian's last name at the moment, but he used to be a regular here, and rode part of the C2C with us.

If it's the one I am thinking about. It is missing the air box and running on pods. Has an ad sticker on top the gas tank and the handle bars and gauge mounting plate are silver.
If that is it you should post the link here and the pros will find more.
You don't have to worry about it selling too fast, especially in South Florida.

The instruments were changed. Speedo and tach are from a 1979. So, mileage is most likely not original. The bike looks familiar. It reminds me of one that TIM's sold a while ago, supposedly previously owned by Tim Ware. If you can get the VIN number, I could confirm this.

Interesting to me that both front and rear master cylinders are from a '79 CBX.
Best,

It's on eBay starting at $7,000 with no bids.
I believe they are almost impossible to tune all RPM ranges without the air box. Please correct me if I am wrong.

What exactly are you looking for? I have two here I'm re-commissioning for the owners this winter. Both for sale and both are exceptional bikes.
