New member...

Post by Tunny »

Hi guys I'm a new member in the UK ,I've been an owner of a (1980 A) for some two years now .
It's a inport from nova scoti Canada, originally built in ohio.
It's taken me this long to source all the original parts, and heap load of cash !!
I'm hoping to do a full restoration at the end of the year (oh man what have I got my self into )
I will post pics , and probably lots of questions .?

Welcome to the site, Tunny.
That "heaps of cash" is a common refrain that usually is forgotten about with the first ride.

Welcome Tunny - from another new guy.

...and another bit about the "heaps of cash" thing. It rings true even if, like me, the goal is to "resurrect" a custom machine. I don't even want to think about "restoration" costs. Almost easier (and cheaper) to find a nice one and go riding. Perhaps a bit less satisfying, though.

Great group of guys here with a wealth of ready information - many of whom are original owners.

Welcome, from farther west in Canada. Just starting on a 1980 myself. I spent 2 months last summer touring the UK on my F6B; had a blast.
