[*]Hi everyone, first of all the CBX is one of the nicest bikes ever made. Ok, with that out of the way, I bought my CBX in 1986 and sold it for $2000 in the fall of 1988 when my son was born. My friend rode it one year and parked it for 29years. I got nostalgic one night and called him up and to my surprise he still had the bike. We negotiated to $5000, that’s about $100 a year for storage. Obviously it needs a restoration and I’m looking forward to the technical info on the forums, cheers

Whoa. Got your bike back. (Welcome from another newbie). I tried to get an '85 ZL900 I rode off the showroom floor back. I knew the fellow I sold it to kept it for many years and I pinged him on it from time to time, but then I lost track of him. He was starting to waver on selling it, too!
