Hi from Royal Berkshire

Post by Redplexus »

Hi, here I am, rather belatedly, owning my first CBX - a lovely silver CBX-Z '79 model, low mileage and very nice cosmetically with mostly original parts. Belatedly because over the past four decades I've owned examples of most of Honda-san's range - the humble but loveable C50-L when I rode myself to school, a CB125T to impress the first girlfriend, a stalwart CX500B for college years, then a variety of Italian hardware while I was learning how to earn more money than I spent, back to Honda for a gold GL1500E. Years passed, children spent all my biking money, then I returned to the fold with yet more Italian kit, then finally the Big Six. So now my stable includes a couple of classic cars (boooh, Alfa and Landy), plus a Ducati 1200 Panigale superlight, MV Agusta F4 (which I believe was the first one imported by 3-X when the marque returned to production) and the big (although smaller than I remember them from when I lusted after one way back when) CBX. Absolutely love the bike, very keen to ride it....but it's giving me some frustrations at the moment which I really want sorted out. Can't wait to get it fully sorted and enjoy what we laughingly call summer in Berkshire, UK.

Hi Redplexus,

Welcome to the site, lots of knowledgeable people here. Don't be afraid to ask any question and you will get the answer you need from the guys.
I am in Gloucestershire, near the Welsh border.

Hope to see you about at one of the UK CBX rallies (when I get the chance to go to one :violin: ).

Cheers
Chris J.
