Alternator Stator for CBX 750F RC17 Options

Does anyone know if an alternator stator from a Honda CB750 Nighthawk 1991-1993 1995-2003 will fit a 1985 Honda CBX 750F RC17 (Australian)? They look similar in images, though, I have been told contradicting answers.

Alternatively, does anyone know where to get a replacement stator OR an alternator conversion to a more modern alternator?

Something i didn't know.
A chain driven alternator that requires an engine teardown to repair? Yikes!

Hi Steve, thanks for the links. I will look further into them after work.

Fortunately I do not have to replace the drive chain yet, just the stator or do a conversion.

Still open to ideas.
