This thread has gotten pretty far off-topic - I don't know if I'm making that better or worse by posting this recent photo from Jean Luc Millet:

No details on what's inside it, or how much power it delivers. It's not on his race bike, though, so it's not having to drive a high pressure fuel pump and 6 injectors.

Nice stuff CBX-tras! I have also an interesting and very hightech carrer and projects in my rearview mirror, and may present that and projects later.

But gentlemen, with all due respect, I fear that this topic is now moving towards OEM alternator fixes, hotrods etc...
Can we please steer back towards Denso alternators for CBX only? Sofar it has been a solid right down to business information source for the Denso alternator swap, and I think most of us would love if it stayed that way. Love you all...

I asked him a couple of questions but he hasn't answered. I know that there are people on here who know him personally, maybe someone's willing to try to get more info from him. All I know is that it's custom made by him.

I believe in my heart that it should be possible to make something this compact that delivers plenty of electrical energy with neodymium magnets in a rotor plus the right custom-wound stator - might need more conditioning than just a regular MOSFET R/R, but I don't know. It seems like a big challenge to make something that works effectively from 1,000-10,000 RPM.

He answered that it's from a "2020 Honda" - I assume something like a CBR1000RR. The rotor on those is the flywheel, the stator is pretty narrow. This is looking like a very cool way to go, though you'd need to find a place for an external voltage regulator/rectifier. Here's a video that shows a similar assembly:

So you'd need that custom cover to house and mount the stator, and a custom rotor in place of the OEM clutch assembly. Seems well within the abilities of multiple people on this board. Furthermore, it looks to me like it would be possible to retain something very close to OEM looks.

Syscrush, I think it deserves its own topic. Can you start such a topic so we can elaborate on these "pancake alternators" and explore how it is possible to adapt the magneto flywheel to the CBX primary shaft without drilling, tapping etc... I would chime in instantly...
