bobcat,
Thanks, you are damn right! I did not design the bracket when the swingarm was at max top position. I get away fairly easy though.
Made a mock-up bracket and by lowering the MC ca 10mm and moving it forward by ca 20mm, I got a few mm clearance to the swingarm when in top position. Back to the drawing board and design a new bracket then...

Re: Footrest Plates & Footrests
Jim,
Sorry, did not see your post here immediately since I did not get any e-mail notification from the forum although I have ticked that box. Site technicians, can you fix this for me?
Once they are ironed out and I am happy with them, sure I can make a batch. But since my bike is not rolling I need to try them on the road on another bike first, making sure that everything is OK with riding position etc...
Unfortunately I have been off the project for a couple of months due to CAD- and CNC-work for customers. Soon able to look at the bike again between jobs...

Re: Footrest Plates & Footrests
More than 1/2 year since last update but I have not been entirily idle.
I have produced almost 10 sets of alternator adaptor kits, both for the 81mm and 75mm alternators.
Then I have spent a LOT of time updating my footrest kit. It has to meet a lot of criterions:
1. Fit to OEM CBX frame mounts without ANY alterations to the original frame.
2. Include footrest holders that accept OEM CBX foot pegs, retaining bolts, return springs for driver and accept OEM CBX footrests for passenger. I also want the passenger footrest plate to be removeable in case I want to build a single seater.
3. Accept OEM gear shift control.
4. Have mounting bracket for ZX-9R rear master cylinder.
5. Accept OEM CBX brake light switch.
6. Have mounting hole for OEM CBX muffler.
7. Relocate driver footrests further back and down.
I designed a bespoke stainless footrest holder to accept OEM CBX foot rests, retaining bolts, return springs for driver. It is flippable, so fits both right and left sides and prepared for a new special brake pedal with bronze bush.
Now I "only" have to CNC the new brake pedal. Stay tuned...
