:laughing-rolling: Yes, Steve! Similar thing here. I know more about CBXes than anybody else on the Fossil Addiction Paleontology forum. As they say: In The Land Of The Blind, The One-Eyed Man Is King!

You should give the guys a little background on your build, the good, bad and the ugly, it was all worth it though wasn't it?

The bike looks great,

Thanks for all your help and wisdom, Jeff. There were times I felt like giving up, but it was worth it. I'm in love with this bike!

We'll make this easy on everyone.

Pat, I don't think non-ZRXOA members can see threads linked from here, maybe it has changed? regardless you did a great job on the bike and I hope you have many miles of fun riding it and meeting a few other CBX owners in your area that enjoy their CBXes as much as you will.

I can see the thread. It opens when I click on the link. Nice pictures. Gives you a good idea what he started out with.
Now, is his name Pat or Rex? :?

Yep, I read it through, smiled and chuckled in solidarity in a few spots as your journey was like so many that went before you Pat, including me. The bike looks fantastic, you made a lot of great choices that make it unique. Did you ever get your carb issues sorted out?

My name is Pat. I go by Rex Lawson because I had both a ZRX(Rex) and an 82 Eddie Lawson Replica(Lawson).

Thank you! She wasn't the easiest resto. Sometimes I felt she was fighting me. can't tell you all the times I had to walk away. Last time was a year. It sure was worth it though. So happy she's done and turned out how I wanted.

Carb issues are being worked out as we speak. Bike needs a sync.

That is an excellent resto thread.
I am very familiar with the "walking away" aspect. Sometimes it takes an hour, sometimes a couple days.
Feel free to show us some pics of your other bikes.
On the GSResources.com site that i also spend time on, a member from Vancouver has an ELR. Beautiful bikes.

Thanks Steve, much appreciated.

I sold off most of my collector bikes last year. I sold my ELR with under 5k miles. Sold my mint 78 Z1-R, along with one of my 81 GPz550's and my 1254 mile 86 GSXR1100.
Currently, the Hondas I own besides the CBX are a 14 Grom, 70 z50, 71 CT70. The Kawasaki's I own are 3 81 GPz550's, 02 ZRX1200, And a 78 KZ1000B2 that's been modded like the CBX. I own a couple Yamaha GT80's, and Seca 550's. I have an SV650 that I fixed up for a friend. I'll be selling him it this Summer. I also own a couple Euro bikes, 12 KTM 690 Enduro R, 10 BMW GSA , and a 13 S1000RR. Just picked up a 70 Rupp Enduro.

Currently looking for a mint 83 GS550 ES. That was my first bike and I'll be damned If I haven't been able to find one in all the years I've been into bikes.
