You might check it first, Tazz. I just had mine off. At 40000 miles, it is good to go. Given the difficulty finding one and/or the price, I would not do a spare unless definitely defined need.

Do you have the Honda CBX shop manual? If not - STOP - until you get one. You are really asking for trouble without one, especially for this job.

AGREE!! And, concur!! Tazz (and all) here's a possible source for manual:

http://www.repairmanual.com/product-cat ... e-manuals/ Manuals at either are about $40. Copies of factory manuals. Do be aware if using the 1979/1980 manual that it may show incorrect cam shaft orientation as noted in other posts frequently in this forum.

YES I have a CBX manual always had one.

Hi guys I remove the valve cover good NEWS I don't need any pool plates they are all there. I also did the cam hole the holds the valve cover-down with Heli-Coil all went smooth I also did a valve job Sh%^&

want a job to do the valves I guess it get easy the more time you do it not the I want but again I guess is better than giving Honda a 1000 dollar to do the job. Next is the cam chain

I let you guys know how it went.
