Hello everyone.
I recently picked up a very nice 1979 CBX at what I think was a reasonable price. It has about 80,000 km on the clock and set me back $15000 Canadian. I was also able to get a large batch of old and new spare parts thrown in, including an alternator, several oil coolers, and a lot of useable bits and pieces.
I will try to to post some pictures, but please bear with me if they don't appear right away!
I am originally from the UK, and worked my way up through a Honda 250N, ironically known as the 'Superdream' I think! Then a 400 four, 550 four and a nearly new 1979 (yes I am that old) CB750K (the exact model escapes my memory at the moment). After moving to Canada in 1991, I didn't ride until a few years ago, when I picked up a true barn find (read 20+ years in a garden shed in Ontario: -30 C winters) 1976 CB400F which I spent three years restoring and which I ride around on quite happily, though not so much in the winter...
My bucket list bikes have been the Moto Guzzi LeMans Mark I or II, a Morini 3.5 and a CBX. I am still looking for the first couple, but I found a 1980 Moto Guzzi V50 at the end of last year, a few months before snapping up the CBX. The Moto Guzzi needs a lot of work and will doubtless occupy my spare time for a couple of years, but the CBX is in great shape and I am enjoying learning to ride a really big bike at last!

Your CBX looks in very good shape! And I am glad to hear some "old" folk is still riding and excited about old bikes.... I bought my first CBX in 1979... when I was 25 years old... Blessings to you!
