Looks nice and tidy. That TechFlex is a spiffy touch.

It’s broke, Larry has been made aware of it.
When you’re adding attachments and a yellow triangle appears in the far right of the file field, click on the icon, it will describe the error.

Had been out on vacation . Finished most wiring work.
What is left.
Speed sensor,
Bleeding and making both brakes work.
Test start
Saddle build
Misc work…
Paint work came back and I really like it. Here is how gauges look lighted.

Like the paint job on the tank.
For those wondering like I was, the katakana (Japanese characters) on the tank say Honda according to my Japanese wife.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

Re: 81 streetfighter conversion
What is left is seat , brake work, horn and chain.
I don’t have a chain tool. Given that it is not a modern bike and won’t be ridden as hard as my tuono, would a chain with link and snap connector instead of riveting will be ok ?

Re: 81 streetfighter conversion
Damn, Ashsish! You're making me re-think my opinion on single-sided swingarms on vintage bikes. Beautiful choice of wheels, too.
As for the chain - some people don't trust the clip type, but at least with a clip it's easy to be certain that you installed it correctly. Once it snaps in place, you're good. The consensus seems to be that the rivet type is stronger but that will only be true if the installation is done correctly. The rivet tool is not expensive (I found them on Amazon for ~30 USD), but it is easy to over- or under-flare that rivet and still end up with some kind of failure.
Some clip link aficionados will safety wire the clip in place, other will apply silicone to it - either one seems like an easy way to some extra peace of mind.
IMO, on a bike like yours where so many little details have been made just right, the clip link would be out of place. They can stick out and draw the eye, which would be a shame on such a nice bike.
I went with a Supersprox sprocket and a nice black 530 chain that I ordered from them. I went with this combo for a mix of looks and performance reasons. You can see the master link in this photo, but I don't think it's distracting like a clip can be:
I think that a similar setup on your bike would look great, but that's obviously up to you.

Re: 81 streetfighter conversion
Glad you like how it is coming out.
I definitely like the black chain like you have. Gold will be just too much and after it catches road grime, they look ugly.
Sounds like a river tool is the way to go. I will watch a couple of videos and see how it is done. When I checked they were like 100 usd and it didn’t make sense for me to spend so much.

Re: 81 streetfighter conversion
Good morning. A big fan of the paint scheme. The black and gold just jump out at you. You have made great progress in your project and will ride as good as it looks. Got to get my A In Gear. I started with a easy one (I hope) my GT550 I purchased new in the summer of “73”. It’s been sitting since the early 80s. It’s slowing my restoration down when I have a running ride. I hope to hear it running on a video soon buddy. Still learning how to navigate the site.
