New Owner in Lincolnshire UK
Recently back from my first ride on my newly acquired Z model. Really pleased with it so far - just a pity that the pub was closed........

Welcome!! That sure is a nice bike.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

Re: New Owner in Lincolnshire UK
Hi All
I have seen this site a lot browsing for cbx pics on the web, I am the person responsible for the very first Spondon CBX frame
SPE-CBX928....Designed by the Legendary Sweary Bob Stevenson R.I.P.
Below is the frame at Spondons workshop 1996 with my empty engine cases + carbs to use as a jig. Back in 1997 almost ready for the Isle of Man trip. The finished bike,
A scanned copy of Streetfighters (Germany). Just before I sold it to the highest bidder
on EBay who was a frenchman who came all the way from Besancon near Switzerland!
Note the upright bars as old age and rheumatism sets in.
So not riding now due to ill health (too many miles riding in cold weather)... spend most of my time sat
at my computer drawing bikes now. picture below is a rendered model of my Spondon frame.
So after drawing the bike complete, nothing left to do but draw the internals

Re: New Owner in Lincolnshire UK
Sorry i pressed submit by mistake
before i had finished...
I would like to get this rendering of the internals finished and get it made into poster form im sure
most of the enthusiasts would like one of these on their garage wall?
finished rendering of my bike.....(not so clear due to re-sizing)
Featured in Streetfighters magazine UK.

Welcome, Lewis.
Thanks for posting the pics of your spectacular bike.
Seeing the clip-ons below the triple tree in a couple pics would make for an easy decision to go with the later bars.
The computer drawing of the engine internals would make for an excellent poster.

Here's a video i did back in 1995 using a Panasonic M5 VHS recorder strapped to the pillion seat facing backwards filming my mate Sid on his ZXR 750 sorry for the bad quality, i had taped the cassette door up to prevent "wind flutter" but the sound DB level from the exhaust made the tape vibrate at times. 7:15 from Ramsey hairpin - Creg Ny Baa, Micheal Dunlop is 2:30 quicker over the same distance!!
