Hi Hound Dog,
Whereabouts in Sydney are you? I am pretty sure I can help, but will be out of town for the early part of this week. I am in the Inner West.
PM me your details and I am confident that together we can get this sorted for you quick smart, even if it means taking parts off mine to help isolate your problem.
Cheer...Tony

Tony you have a PM mate.
I don't think I ever got your pm... (Or am I having a 'Senior's moment'?). Holler if you still need help.
Cheers...Tony

Hey Hound Dog,
Where about in Sydney are you? I am in the Inner West and would be happy to help out if you need it.
While you are faffin' about with your ignition, strongly recommend installation of an ignition coil relay. This easy mod feeds 12v direct from battery straight into the coils. I tested a friends one on the weekend and with the stock setup there was a 2 volt drop between battery and ignition coils.
Send me a pm and I'll be happy to help you out with all manner of things CBX incl. carb balance, valve clearances etc.
Cheers...Tony
