To find purchaser of my CBX

Post by John Palk »

I sold my CBX's and a boat load of spares here in Burlington Ontario Canada some years ago and need to contact him
as I have fairing parts he should keep with the bike.
I'm sure the parts will be like hens teeth to find.

John.

That would be me. You sold the bikes and parts to a father and son from the St Thomas area. I bought all of what they had 2
years ago. One bike is a 1980 CBX that is partially cafe'ed and the other is a stock 1982 white CBX. I recognized your name as
you left your insurance slip in the fairing pocket of the 82.

PM me your phone number and I will be in touch. I believe you are about an hour from my home address.

I feel good that at last I have been able to find the person that owns my much loved X.
When I did the unthinkable and sold her for insurmountable reasons I was sad.
She was my daily driver 12 months a year, trips to the states Thunder in the valley for instance but old age and being a short ass was making it difficult to manhandle her.
In car parks the high C.O.G had me let go and pick her up once I had gained my bearings, more than a couple of times.
I was also loosing my garage and had to find an alternative, also neutral was getting more difficult to find
I serviced the clutch to no avail and needed to split the cases to access the selection mechanism, now not feasible
as loosing my garage.
The parts are the finishing bits that fit behind stock windshield at the outer top.I thought they may be difficult to find.
I now play around with my 85 Max (low C.O.G) and my daily ride is a Bergman the AN400 which is a total delight to ride.
After many many races I honestly report that only once was she (the Suzi ) beaten by a cheat on a Polaris who jumped the lights by at least 3 seconds.
Any way I should sign off before getting to boring.
