air filters

Post by MIKE DAVIS »

I'm looking for some parts for the stock air filter assembly. I have the main air filter box,the part that connects to the carbs. What I need is the rest of the assembly. The part that the air filter sits in and the "snorkle" that goes over the filter. If anyone has these parts I am interested in buying them. I guess the K&N filters just don't work well with the vacuum carbs. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ,Mike

Hi Mike,
There is good news and not so good news. The box that goes behind the piece that you have can be found at a reasonable price on eBay. The bad news is that the lid that goes on top of that box can be pricey and hard to find.
I suggest contacting Louis in Florida or Tevan (Texan) in IL. I think that there is also a lid on CBX World at the moment for $100.00
Best,
Phil
