CB1100F triple trees

Good evening all...I want to fit a CB1100F top and bottom yokes (triple trees)
The stem is a lot longer on the CB1100F so I want to use a standard CBX Z stem so I'll have to get my local machine shop to remove the CB1100F stem and press fit the Z one.
I'm hoping to use FZR1000 Genesis forks after the trees have been machined to accept the Yams' 39mm forks using the Yamahas' front wheel
I offered the Genesis lower yoke to the CBX headstock but the steering lock lug gets in the way
Anyone managed to fit a mongrel front end like this?

CB1100F front forks are 39mm. If 39mm is what you need, just fit a pair of Pro-Link yokes and whatever forks you like.

I have a question as I am going to install a set of CB1100F Trac Forks (Canadian model) and brakes on my CBX 1982 which already has Gold boomerangs.

Looking at the top of the fork tubes, the setup is different than the CBX as the forks have a damper selector mechanism on top instead of the CBX air equalizer tops but then have a small hole located below the tip triple tree line to receive the rings and line type equalizer similar to other CB bikes.

So my question is will I need to buy a CB1100F top triple tree Part #53230-MG5-610 in order to secure the front fork air equalizer ?

If you want to maintain the air option, all you need really are the two rings and the connecting line. You can use the top triple from the Pro-Link CBX as it will allow standard gauge fitment. The stock 1100F set-up screws the connecting rings to the top triple, but it's not necessary. If you don't want air, just use the rings to plug the air holes and plug the air fitting with screw-in plugs. The Canadian 1100F top triple has gauge mounting ears like the CBX but they are different and will not accept the CBX gauge cluster.

If you have ever sent a set of late model CBX fork tubes to RaceTech to have their gold valve service your forks will come back with the air-assist holes plugged, IIRC they use epoxy.

I am going to start with having all of the bell and whistles functioning including the air. I will post my TRAC fork conversion in the project thread. Right now they are stripped and going to get powder coated. I have ordered everything I need to rebuild them including new O-rings boots, bushings etc.

All I'm missing is a set of rotors and I would very much like to put those Gold CB1100F rotors on there. If not I will probably go with CB900F, would like vented....

There are Goldwing rotors available, which are vented. Basically two different designs. One with a solid center and one similar to the Prolink rotors, which are lighter. They were also used on the CB1100R and do not require the wider gap calipers.

Here are the ones I would prefer the CB1100F Canadian / Euro rotors (3rd pic). Do you mean those Goldwing rotors ? I don't really like the solid center ones (Pic 1) but the others (PIC 2) seem identical except for being black to the CB1100F and much cheaper too !

No. There are GL rotors that are similar to the ones on the first picture, but they do not have solid centers. They look almost like Prolink rotors. but are thinner, thus lighter and work with the regular calipers
