I've been fiddling with bikes for about 40 years now....how did I get this old?? And have a fairly varied collection from a 1964 Norton 750 Atlas, to a 2014 ZX14R with things like XR600's and a KTM950S in between. I've always had a "thing" for the CBX, ever since I saw my first one on the forecourt of the local Honda dealer way back in 79. It was still in the crate and was being unpacked, and it was already attracting a crowd, I remember counting those chrome header pipes and just being astounded that such a machine could exist. Later I had the opportunity to build one up for a bloke, but that was long ago and most of that knowledge was lost.
So with some help I'm relearning the CBX and nailing this beast together. I'm under no illusions that building a bike out of the basket case I bought is probably not the wisest way to do it.....but it is fun

The intent is not to have the fastest or highest output or biggest capacity etc from it but to rather make a nice rider that is built strong with a little extra wow factor, not that a CBX is lacking in that department!!
Cheers everyone
