Hello from the Canadian Rocky Mountains

Post by Mouse »

Hi everyone.
I have been riding on and off for 35 yrs.
First bike, 1979 Honda CB 400 T. Got clobbered from behind by a hit and run driver. Result - bike totaled, me loose shoulder joints for life.
Second bike, 1977 Honda CB400f2 Super Sport. Awesome bike, still have it but it needs restoration.
Third bike, 1981 Honda CBX. Had it a couple of years but a move across Canada required it's sale.
Fourth bike, 1979 Honda CBX purchased 2 yrs ago from the Southern U.S.
CB1 2001826 frame / CB1 E 2000387 engine
Mods done to the bike
Boxed rear swing arm / K&N pod air filters / C5 Performance optical trigger electronic ignition
Supertrapp Stainless Steel split header and mufflers / upgraded alternator and starter
Colour change from 1979 Silver to 1980 Black (I love the black)
..... Damn .... I just burnt dinner writing and editing this post repeatedly.

Nice looking bike with some good upgrades, also spot the fork brace and stainless brake lines.
Supertrapps sound great.

Clean bike! The black looks sharp, I agree.

Thanks Kap
Mike from Performance told me there are quite few CBX owners in Calgary.
I saw a pristeen looking 82 on Memorial Drive a week ago. Have not seen one of those in years.
I see that you own or have owned a 75 CB400f, what colour? Love the Yellow ones. I have alway's liked the tank cap on the 75/76 models, my 77 has the hidden cap.posting.php?mode=reply&f=108&t=9724#

Currently own all those bikes. '75 is red. I like the yellow as well, but a red '75 was top of my list. Nice thing is it also came with black '76 side covers, so I can mix up the look if I like.
