These are parts left over from total nut and bolt restoration on a 79 CBX, I know there not from the engine, I kept them separated....

Hi,
The clip on the right is off the front caliper (part number 32906-049-000 ). Happen to know as I took that off my caliper yesterday to be sent off to be plated!
Paul.

Bushings could be from chain cover ? Hard to tell without knowing the size.

I think Donny said the nuts and collars were 10mm. 2 of the exhaust rear mounts take 10mm nuts like that. Could the collars be from the shifter? They are different material and it looks like these were all re-plated. That's the only place I can see in the entire parts book that they could go.

Re: and where does these go ? 79
Without scanning all the parts diagrams...the 10mm is a hefty size fastener. Most of the collars I am familiar with are for smaller bolts, like 6mm. I think the turn signal stems have larger flange nuts, maybe 10mm. The rear footpeg mounting bolt has a 10mm flange nut. I am pretty sure the exhaust mounts are only 8mm. Maybe there is a misunderstanding....is 10mm the bolt/hole size or the hex sixe?

Re: and where does these go ? 79
Thanks Paul, you are correct, I was looking in all the wrong places. For the 10mm flange nuts, they were extras for the sport kit/foot peg bolts. The collars are for 8mm bolts, to big for the chain guard. This is the 1st full resto on a CBX I have done. When I fully dismantled the bike I bagged and tagged everything meticulously but, when in separated the hardware ( yellow, clear and olive drab zinc ) and the Chrome bits and pieces to go out for finishing is when things got jacked up, four or five pieces came up missing and I was left with a mixed up puzzle. I guess it's not so bad, I only have two collars left over and I have full confidence someone will figure it out.
Thanks, BTW I'm on my way out, going on a ride, it's going to be 87 degrees today in So. Cal today.
