Parts
I went to my local Honda dealer and ordered some parts.
One of the parts is the castellated nut that is used on the rear caliper stay (94011-08000-0S).
The dealer got a call from Mother Honda, this part has been sold to a vintage parts house. I thought this was one of those common parts.
The part is $12.98 list, yeah! For one nut.
I wonder who the vintage parts house is, where it's located and what else they have.

Re: Parts
No, it's another outfit, I have the name somewhere here. My dealer told me about them a while ago. For stuff like that, if you have any old ones, it's cheaper to get a bunch together and have them re-plated.

Re: Parts
Get a 25 cent nut from the local hardware store and slot it with a Dremel.

Re: Parts
Good chance it's Western Hills Honda that bought the supply of nuts. Good people, about 30 minutes from my house.

Mike: Do you need the nut because it is missing or do you want a NOS one? I can probably dig a used one up in my parts stash.

Re: Parts
I have some Mike, I do appreciate the offer though.
It's just odd that something so common to many Honda's was turned over to a vintage supply house. It doesn't matter if you pull the number off the CBX parts fiche, it's a common part number so order from any of the other models and it will come up the same sold out to a vintage parts supplier.

Re: Parts
Fit and function can be achieved by a standard 8mm castle nut from the hardware store. Form is what makes it unique to Honda and maybe the plating. So, if you are into a true 100% restoration, you will need the Honda nut.
If you just want to get your bike back on the road - any nut will do.
