Pat, I don't think non-ZRXOA members can see threads linked from here, maybe it has changed? regardless you did a great job on the bike and I hope you have many miles of fun riding it and meeting a few other CBX owners in your area that enjoy their CBXes as much as you will.Rex Lawson wrote:Thanks for all your help and wisdom, Jeff. There were times I felt like giving up, but it was worth it. I'm in love with this bike!Jeff Bennetts wrote:Howdy Pat, welcome.
You should give the guys a little background on your build, the good, bad and the ugly, it was all worth it though wasn't it?

Yep, I read it through, smiled and chuckled in solidarity in a few spots as your journey was like so many that went before you Pat, including me. The bike looks fantastic, you made a lot of great choices that make it unique. Did you ever get your carb issues sorted out?EMS wrote:Jeff Bennetts wrote: Pat, I don't think non-ZRXOA members can see threads linked from here, maybe it has changed? :
I can see the thread. It opens when I click on the link. Nice pictures. Gives you a good idea what he started out with.
Now, is his name Pat or Rex?
My name is Pat. I go by Rex Lawson because I had both a ZRX(Rex) and an 82 Eddie Lawson Replica(Lawson).EMS wrote:I can see the thread. It opens when I click on the link. Nice pictures. Thank you! She wasn't the easiest resto. Sometimes I felt she was fighting me. can't tell you all the times I had to walk away. Last time was a year. It sure was worth it though. So happy she's done and turned out how I wanted.NobleHops wrote:Yep, I read it through, smiled and chuckled in solidarity in a few spots as your journey was like so many that went before you Pat, including me. Thanks Steve, much appreciated.steve murdoch icoa #5322 wrote:That is an excellent resto thread.
I am very familiar with the "walking away" aspect. Sometimes it takes an hour, sometimes a couple days.
Feel free to show us some pics of your other bikes.
On the GSResources.com site that i also spend time on, a member from Vancouver has an ELR. Beautiful bikes.
