new member saying Hello from the uk

Post by neilx7 »

Hi,
Just got a CBX last week, have always wanted one after been taken out as a pillion when I was 15 by my dad mate who he worked with some 35years ago :o

it a uk bike silver 35k on the clock totally standard.
It need abit of tidying up the tank has some small dents and will be changing change to colour to red :D
Clutch make a racket and it’s biting point is at the end of the lever travel so I think it might need a new clutch ???
It will need a set of pipes £££££££££ as originals look ok, but have some dents and a bit's of rust on them, and baffles are shot, I would like a 6in1 but have not looked around yet to see what out there.

Other bikes 1981 Suzuki gt250 x7, I have been doing up for the past 5 years just needs MOT now.
2013 triumph speed triple R, best handling bike I have rode Ohlin’s all round Brembo mono block brakes and loads of carbon fibre :laughing-rollingyellow:
No doubt I will be asking questions as I strip it down and put it back together.

Cheers
Neil

Hi ya, Neil.
Better get the GT sorted as the CBX resto will take all your time and money. haha.
The racket from the clutch can be annoying but they usually continue to function perfectly in spite of the noise.
There is a large, active contingent of CBX owners in the UK so help could be near-by.
