Won't start
My '82 CBX ran fine until it didn't. I could get no spark when the engine turned over briskly. It sat for a year while I did other things and then it started and ran well for a couple of weeks. Then the gremlin reappeared. I have checked continuity of all components that I can think of (ignition switch, kill switch, rectifiers and coils) and am at the point of replacing the spark igniter under the theory that the lack of spark is effecting all cylinders and so the fault must be in something that excites all. Does my logic and strategy make sense to you folks with more experience than I have? (very little wrenching past setting valves on my Guzzi). Thanks for any suggestions that you may offer.

Re: Won't start
No spark to all cylinders means something in the kill switch circuit. All other individual spark-related components fail individually and result in a pair of cylinders with no spark. All others will be OK.

Thanks Dave. I checked the switch for continuity by did not verify power through it with ignition activated.
