Need a mechanic in Rochester NY-Please help!

Hello from upstate New York. I bought my first CBX and now need a mechanic to help with, what else, the carbs. Been sitting a while and need them unclogged. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey congratulations and welcome to the club!

Our own Technical Director Dave McMunn (Daves79x) is a great alternative. He is too modest to generally ask for the work, but if he has the bandwidth you can be totally confident in the outcome. Another very well regarded rebuilder is a guy named Mike Nixon, who is unsurprisingly a past Technical Director for the club. He will also do a fantastic job (did mine) and is great to deal with. Another guy is J.R. Luksic, aka CBX-tras. Another perfectionist and honest and reputable. It ain't cheap and it ain't fast no matter who does them for you, but it is the numero uno critical piece of running gear and it pays to get it done right.

Welcome to the site.
If you are determined to get the work done locally i would contact the guys at NorthEast Vintage Cycle in Springville. A bit of a drive.
They might do the work or should know somebody in your area.
