this is just for fun
I just came back from seeing the movie "Argo" about the Iran hostage crisis. in the movie there is a scene when a bunch of bikes are taking off and one of the first bikes you see is a "79 CBX! This made me wonder 2 things, first is i would have thought any bikes in Iran back in late seventies early eighties would have been of a lot smaller displacement? the other is i wonder if there are any other movies or shows where the CBX makes an appearance.

Re: Movie Star
There is that campy Ed Harris movie, Knightriders.
The CBX is a scene stealer. Not very difficult in a bad movie.

Kent, on another note did you enjoy Argo?
I saw it the first weekend and thought it was very well done.

ouch! that was a crazy scene. and ya i enjoyed Argo. i went with my wife and her dad. she lived in Iran with her family for a few years while her dad who was in construction went over there to build a timber mill. they were to go back just when the whole uprising started so needless to say they never went back. the mill was blown up as the powers that be at that time didn't seem to want any type of western progress.

I saw "Argo" and noticed the CBX. But, there are a lot of "details" in that movie that are not accurate, so I just swept it under the "movies are not facts" rug.

If a movie based on an actual occurrence would be nothing but true to the facts, nobody would be interested to fund or make it, because they would be afraid that nobody would watch it. The audience wants sensation, disaster and mayhem. Pretty much like the NASCAR spectators...

That is exactly what director/actor Ben Affleck said.
