I am the original owner of my 79 CBX and through the decades and 84,000 miles I've kept it all original. I am now seriously thinking of upgrading the wheels and suspension. I don't have the time, equipment or resources (mental) to engineer or manufacture the parts needed. So if anyone would like to sell their wheel and suspension setup I'm very interested. If anyone could help me with a grocery list of parts needed to upgrade the wheels, forks and swingarm or any part thereof it would be greatly appreciated. Even a wheel upgrade would be nice. If someone knows of a shop that would build it that would be great too. Thanks

Re: From the 70's
Welcome, 1047! Wonder why you picked these numbers for an ID here...
There will be little you can do as a plug-and-play to really upgrade wheels and/or suspension. In the back, the swingarm is the bottleneck and in the front the fork and/or steering neck.
Real upgrade means changing of these components and maybe some other modifications with it.
Please make another post and start a thread with your questions in the "Suspension and Handling" section and we will be glad to go more into detail!
