Cyl orings

I have a 79 and I'm almost ready to install the cyl. I have new orings for the bottom of the sleeves. My question is do you need to push the oring down into the slot at the base of the sleeve or just install the cyl and not worry about that?

I'd get them pretty much in place before the install.

Thanks Dave. I guess I won't worry too much about pushing those orings down into the groove.
