batteries
For over 20 years I have used the Yuasa Yumicron 20 amp batterie in myCBX,s with excellent starting of the bikes. However perhaps due to moving to a warmer climate or global warming I had to check the electrolyte level more often.I there for was looking for an agm batterie for my bikes .After checking out the different post on batteries used I went to my local Batterie Plus store and bought two Xtreme power batteries with 330 cca .They are not cheap at $120 each but are very well made and in the USA(Wisconsin) They have a 2 year warranty and fit very well. The # is X2-18L and the engine cranks over and starts instantly.I always replaced the previous Yuasa batteries every three years regardless if they were still good,I do not want to get stranded because of a bad batterie. The new ones I still want to replace every 3 or 4 years but no more checking water levels in the batterie and very goog cranking power.Safe Riding John.

Re: batteries
Thanks for the input, John! I would like to add that I have used a WESTCO AGM in my CBXes for quite a while now. I bought the ones for the 79 and 81 over five years ago,( WESTCO 12V22 for Goldwing GL1100), and they both still work fine. I take them out of the bikes during winter storage, charge them fully and recharge them every 6-8 weeks and immediately before I put them back in. In the spring, they crank the bikes right up. I think you should get a life of more than 3-4 years easily out of a AGM.

Re: batteries
My Yuasa AGM (don't recall the model right now) has been in the CBX since I bought it more than seven years ago, and it cranks like new. I keep it on a battery tender, and it spends its winters out in the cold (Minnesota).
