I would highly recommend Preston Marks to fix your CBX !!!
My 79 and 80 CBX were both in need of a tune-up; a burned valve and incorrect timing with one of the bikes, while the other had rough idling also due to timing.
Although I reside 570 miles away from Preston, traveling 4 times this distance was well worth the effort.
Preston has the skill, knowledge and extensive range of equipment to deal with any CBX repair. You never regret paying for quality.
P.S. If your bike is not running as it should, make certain that the timing is absolutely correct before fiddling with the carbs !!!!!(I wonder how I acquired this knowledge)
Thanks Preston for a job well done

I think Preston needs to relocate. Maybe 6 months in the North?
Houtman, glad to hear you are up and running with both bikes.
