NEWBIE?

Post by GUITARFIXX »

Just a note of introduction to you, the oracles of CBX truth and justice. Bert Morgan, rock n' roll detective here, Richmond Virginia, USA. I am an old school CBX owner, several from 79 - 82. Always loved them, still do. My other great passion in bikes is the Duc 888, which is my very heart. I also own a couple of Harleys and a very trick Aprilia Tuono Factory. Always ridden and worked with bikes. Raced WERA from 1977 - 1990, fastest fat guy you ever saw!
Just got a silver 79 which had been in storage for 15 years. Remarkable condition for the years, 8800 original miles. Obtained from the original owner and subsequently stored by the mechanic who assembled it out of the crate, as a "leftover" in 1982. Funny, it was wearing the S&W shocks from my original 79 CBX dragbike. The world is one tiny place sometimes!
Cheers to ya lads,
Bert

Cool! Welcome, Bert. Your '79 find sounds great! As many of us will think, "wish I'd found that!" Have fun here. If any of us can help, do sound off. Everyone is more than willing. Hope to see you at some rides.

Hi Bert.
Sounds like a nice collection of bikes. There is a guy near me with a full Akropvic exhaust on his Tuono and it sounds great.
Like all sites we like pics and feel free to post pics of all your rides.
