thought i had it

and i thought i was home free- rebuilt the carbs.all seemed o.k and now number 5 is not getting fuel.back to the drawing board.think i'll get my bottle of single barrel jack and try to figure how to get the bowl off with out cursing[ yeah right]

I have a Ph.D. in Creative Cursing due to CBX carbs.
Practice makes perfect and i need way more practice.

As good as I thought I had things covered with mine also . . . . . I did'nt :evil:

I tried to avoid pulling them for not a second time, but a third !

Me to!, I think working on CBX carbs is more of an art than a science. I finally pulled those damn pressed in idle jets and made sure every port,passageway and jet was open before I reassembled the damn things. Now she purrs like a content kitten.

In my case Margarita's helped mucho.

yup, when your tired and start to get delirious its time to call it a day.my fuel problem was that i put #5 float in upside down. thank god i was able to get the bowl off and back on.now the noisy clutch is no were near as noisy. :D

I did that once myself. But, I did it on all four carbs on a CB550. It''s about as hard to get the carbs out of that bike as a CBX. :oops:
