CBR1000F VF1000R 18T 530
Will the CBR1000F VF1000R 18T 530 sprocket work on my 80? The part number for the 80 sprocket shows that it is unique to the 80-82 but sometimes other part numbers can be the same item so I thought I would ask around.

EBAY 360192536142 says CB750 on the tag. The sprocket is an 18T but the bikes they say it fits use a 17T. Any cross references would be appreciated.

Re: CBR1000F VF1000R 18T 530
The reason being the chain changed from 630 to 530 in 1980. Small differences in sprockets, i.e.: center hub diameter, number of mounting holes etc will cause a different part number. As long as the sprocket is flat and not offset, you can make almost anything fit.twinegar wrote: The part number for the 80 sprocket shows that it is unique to the 80-82 but sometimes other part numbers can be the same item so I thought I would ask around.
